How do you store your wine [+ Fridge/Cabinet recommendations]

I bought one of those when they were on sale at HN few years ago. So far I’m happy, it’s quiet and does the job. In my view there’s no need to get the most expensive brands if your goal is short to medium term cellaring.

Looking at getting one of those too since my Vintec died.

The energy consumption on my old one was minimal. I had this one WKb 4611 Barrique which consumes less than 0.5 kWh per day.

Oh no, how long did you had your Vintec before it died?
I have a couple of their small fridges purchased during various promos and always thought their RRP is outrageous for the quality (they vibrate too much).

6 or 7 years. It was one of the small model that can only fit Bourgogne bottles on the bottom shell.

That’s the one I have (two of them). Good to know their expected lifespan and if indeed < 10 years it makes their RRP even more outrageous.
 
I have just bought my third HiSense as I could not Justify the cost and the risk profile of a better frig.
So far they barely last out the warranty….
It should last 5 years + via extended warranty (GoodGuys) and an extra year or two if I am lucky.
I am also going to try to find a fridgie to resuscitate the old one
 
I run a 5 star energy efficient Panasonic split system in a dedicated wine room/cellar using graphite infused polystyrene inside the walls as insulation. The AC unit goes down to “16” degrees via the remote which keeps the bottles at 14-15 degrees. It doesn’t seem to strip out humidity, which hovers around 70-80% and has some form of ion gymick which is meant to kill mould spores. Has been running non stop for a few years now. Didn’t really notice any impact on the power bills, also with solar.

We have this and the temperature can be the same for both zones, but we do use one zone for whites.

Works well, seems quite, but it's in our pantry so hard to tell. Only issue we had was that it was impossible to remove the door and flip it to the otherwise (the bolts stripped my screwdriver bits...).

What is Shopandsave? I'm about to purchase the WKb4611 elsewhere for $2,540 so that 13% cashback will save me about $100, plus the $250 gift card from wineselectors.
 
Whilst it is not a Liebherr or Vintec, I saw that Kmart are selling an 18 bottle wine fridge for $129 as part of their Black Friday range.

I thought that some may find it useful as a little folly or if they're perhaps in-between fridges or houses and are looking for a quick fix over this summer (it comes with a 12 month warranty only).
 
Anyone got any suggestions on cooling and keeping under house storage wine storage more stable?

I've got decent enough clearance 1.4m beneath floor boards and sandstone foundations. Temps hit 25c over the weekend though....

Would insulation below floor boards help or should I be looking at a through the wall cooling system?

I've got a smaller underbench dual zone Delonghi in my kitchen so I figure that can handle the smaller amount of whites I'll cellar.
Looking for size thus preventing me from converting my passive under house "cellar" into a proper one.
