how do you select seats thru "manage bookings"?

trying to select seats thru velocity then manage bookings, it says you can from 14 days out, have several flights in the next week or so, just trying to figure out how to do it (usually don't bother but thought id take alook!!)?... any ideas?

If your booking was made with Virgin Austrlaia and not an agency, then: Bring your booking list up here: https://book.virginaustralia.com/BookingList.aspx

Select the booking that is within 14 days and you should see the option to select seating.

Do you have status? You either need to purchase a flexi fare or be DJ Gold/Plat to select seats. Otherwise you can pre-pay for an exit seat.

+1 to this. But note Silver can also select seats from 14 days, but only from rows 8 onward (in the 737)

thanks, it worked, logged in under Google chrome browser and it was there, under Windows 8 preview using IE10 the button wasn't there, yes its quite obvious once you see it!!!, so got myself some nice 3C seats, thanks all for your input

... i actually prefer 4C. I'm *not particularly tall so leg room doesn't make much of a difference to me. I appreciate being able to **stuff my junk under the seat and access it during the flight.

Ah, I left it [-]over the weekend[/-] a few days, row 3 aisle seats were gone. Too slow is all.

Even worse is I had my first qantas flights this week in 4 weeks and I missed T-80 completely. 5D in both directions. Oh the humanity!

Nothing. It was still available and I was close to selecting it. But I have a muscle condition, which makes climbing out of window seats difficult, so I take an aisle seat as much as possible.

I tried last Sat. and didn't have the button (xp) so rang the gold desk who did it for me (3C). When I logged back in later the button had returned????? (I swear it wasn't there to start with, honest!

Thats the button I get.Used to be normal but changed a few months ago.Running an older IE I think 7 so may have something to do with it.Photo doesnt show but the other side of add baggage button also shows the other half of service requests.It only goes haywire after the change seats appears.

3A is usually my seat of choice - i like to look at the window and/or sleep against it! 3C second best. Travelled with a colleague yesterday and they said would we like to sit together - i knew I was in 3A so figured that they'd put him next to me - but they moved me back to row 4B

What if we did go through an agency? I've booked my flight from my AMEX Plat Edge card, do I now need to call AMEX back to select seats? Could I call the Velocity Gold number instead?
