How do people change into their pyjamas while flying International Business?

Not on most flights! (Hopefully.)

Usually there's a great queue for the toilets as soon as the seat belt sign's extinguished. On some such as EK F or SQ F suites one can close the doors and change if you are quick. Seen some in QF F change in their seats but there's no door.

I have previously related a tale that I was told by a QF FA in F on the A380 of a woman (somewhat elderly, apparently) who stripped naked in the cabin. I guess it was during the process of putting on her PJs - but then again, maybe not. Anyway, needless to say, it seemed unbelievable - but I was assured it was true.

I have seen the odd person changing in their seat in J - maybe just the PJ top. But I can't recall in detail what happened in those cases.

Bear in mind that a lot of carriers don't provide PJs in J (CX is the particular surprise to me in this regard). 15.5 h ORD-HKG in your clothes is not my idea of fun.

I carry a set of QF F PJs with me for all non-QF J long-haul trips (LA, BA, CX, IB, SA...). I do, however, draw the line at using QF J PJs in a non-QF aircraft :shock:.

If on board, I will use the toilets to change into shorts + t/shirt (don't use PJ's usually too hot for me). But not uncommonly I will wear shorts to airport and carry pants to change into for arrival, and have tshirt underneath shirt so I just unbutton and remove my shirt and am done.

Could have been me. Done this twice out of HKG.

1st time: Changed in cabana after bath. Fell asleep. Got the knock for boarding. No time to change. Uh oh...

2nd time: Same but planned now. Worked fine last time!

I'm an in-toilet changer. I find changing back out of PJs the more difficult to schedule with regard to perhaps changing too early or a queue forming and not having managed the change before the seat belt light comes on.

I change in the toilets and, if a late evening departure (e.g. ex-Asia) I tend to change before take off to avoid the rush just after the seat belt sign is extinguished.
