How do I choose my own seat on Jetstar with Qantas Points?

I want to fly with Jetstar to Bali in October on Qantas Points. If I pay I can choose my seats. But if I want to use Qantas points on the Qantas website I cannot choose my own Jetstar seats. How do I choose my own seat on Jetstar with Qantas Points? I'm after bulkhead or exit row.

Once you book JQ flights via QF you'll be able to access the JQ booking reference on the JQ website, this will allow you to access your booking via JQ and select seats. You pay the exact same price as if you were booking via JQ direct.

My best recommendation is to do a dummy booking on the Jetstar website, search the flights you're about to book via QF, this will allow you to see if the seats you're after are available and the price. Then book on the Qantas website as per normal and access the manage your booking page on QF to view the JQ booking reference, you can then select seats using that new booking reference on the JQ website. My recommendation is waiting about an hour or two after booking as it takes a while for JQ/QF bookings to full update.

The payment page on the Jetstar website allows you to pay with points.

The conversion rate is not great but that's a separate issue.

Thanks, I've managed to do it. Checked out seating on paid Jetstar flights, then went to Qantas & booked the flights using Qantas Frequent Flyer points & after paying could select the seats.

Is using QF points to pay for JQ seats on the JQ website a thing of the past?

Looks to me like the option to pay with points is now only available for new bookings.

It doesn't show up anymore when I try to buy extra services for my existing bookings.
