Hi, had a light bulb moment & I am now considering upgrading a Y+ ASA to J for the second sector of SYD-LHR.
Is this permitted and; is it a talk to the QFF Service Centre type problem, or can it be done online (ie: SIN-LHR).
thanks

It'll depend on how you book it. If each of the sectors is booked as a separate flight (ie SYD-SIN, SIN-LHR), then you would be able to request the upgrade online for the SIN-LHR flight.

However, if it's booked as a single flight (SYD-xSIN-LHR), then you might not be able to upgrade just the SIN-LHR sector. And if you did wish to do this, you'd have to call the service centre to have it done.

That would be the problem SYD-LHR is a single booking.
I guess I could ring and try and get waitlisted for SIN-LHR sector.

All reports I have heard of this is that it can't be done even with a call to the service centre. You can only upgrade single flight numbers or separate bookings - so if you had two bookings on QF31 you upgrade one booking ref not the other. If you go on line into your account it wont even show you the two flights - just one.

You will only have the choice to upgrade the entrie SYD-LHR or not to upgrade at all. Even calling QFF won't change that. You will not be able to waitist for SIN-LHR only.
