I'm here too but didn't go to the EL tonight. They are very full today which could affect how many they can upgrade to suites. I arrived yesterday so got the suite. Another new info I discovered about HSW, if you book the suites but not a gold/diamond member, you have to pay $15 extra to have breakfast at the restaurant but free at EL. Most bizarre rule IMO.

Yes, I agree. I'm pretty sure that a non Diamond status customer booking the two room apartment doesn't get EL access either ... Seems very weird to me for one of their most expensive rooms.

I haven't stayed in a while, but we've always been granted EL access at HSW and always in the apartments.

EL access granted with those rooms but they have to pay extra $15 per pax if they choose to have breakfast at the restaurant unless they are Gold/Diamond. That's what I was led to believe anyway.

Club rooms only get club. Sounds fair enough.
Probably a different rate includes full breakfast

Yes, sure. I had an idea though that when the hotel first opened the two room accommodation was treated like a suite though, with all the trappings, the EL lounge access with these rooms dropped off silently a year or more later. Perhaps they were getting too many PAX in these rooms and the EL was getting flooded (?)

Property: HSW
Date 12th December
Status: Diamond
Booked: Queen family room
Assigned at online check-in: Queen family room (12th floor) no other choice allowed

No exec rooms, let alone suites, showing as available for purchase.

Was in Adelaide the other day. Not staying at the Hilton but we thought we'd pop in for the express $25 lunch at the new restaurant. Place was moderately busy. We ordered a glass of wine each while playing with the menus and after waiting over 20 minutes while they crushed the grapes or whatever the hell they were doing, we walked out parched and went elsewhere. Bit slack there Adelaide Hilton F&B.

The lobby is having a make over. About time. The check in area is walled off and check in is past the toilets. It reminds me of registering for a CPA conference at Darling Harbour

What have you booked?

You'll get upgraded to exec from anything below it, suites are not guaranteed/likely if booked even exec as there are few, and many are booked, and some are still smoking. If you are happy with a smoking suite, tell them on checkin. Incidentally there are 2 refurb suites mocked up for the hotel renos.

I booked the cheapest room from memory, i booked a while ago. Checking online for rooms during those dates, lots of twins are available so i might asked at check-in.

But I had heard stays of this many nights usually don't get upgraded?
this is my first time staying more than 2 nights.

Upgrades will be as I said- to exec unless you are lucky. I don't believe they have any twin suites so you won't get a suite.

All my stays have been upgrades regardless of length. 1-8 nights, 5 or 6 stays this year I think.

Take the bottom left one. I had the corner one on that side my most recent stay and the view was excellent - Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay, Gardens and some of the fireworks / electric show. Definitely the better side in my view.
thanks for the tip!

so executive is the same room as the basic room but with executive lounge benefits only?

I think they are slightly larger, but not sure. I've only ever stayed Exec or been upgraded to a suite.

In in addition to lounge you should get a decent discount at the spa if you use, and a free drink or discount if you have a buffet dinner at Oscars. May also get free pressing of laundry. Will be specified when you check-in.
