Hi there
Long term lurker but really appreciate the information on the forum.
Will be travelling to India in March/April, 2011 and will be staying in Delhi for 3 nights at end of journey after visiting four tiger reserves in the hope of spotting the elusive animal.
Any suggestions of a nice hotel in Delhi - probably 5 star and reasonably close to the action.

CMak,

Welcome to AFF.

There has been some recent discussion with regard to hotels in India though I must admit I did not follow it closely as it did not affect me.

If necessary I will ask my sister and her husband when they return as they are currently in Delhi for Christmas and know the area very well.

Hey CMak,

Welcome to AFF!

I've been to Delhi 3 times in the last 12 months. The hotel we stayed at was the Ramada plaza, a 4 star hotel.

If you are after a good 5 star, the Shangri-la next door is fantastic. Also check out the Imperial Hotel just up the road. It's closer to Connaught Place than Shangri-la but only by about 5 mims walk.

Cheers,

Nick
