Hotels.com have launched a loyalty program (In addition to "Welcome Rewards") in Australia and selected other markets based on how many nights you book per year through their portal:

FIVESTAR Terms & Conditions

Two levels:

FIVESTAR - (Requires 10-24 nights per year booked) and
FIVESTAR PLUS - (25+ nights per year booked).

Apart from early access to sales (for FIVESTAR PLUS only), a special phone number to call for bookings/any issues with booking and some other intangible benefits - doesn't look like anything special.

But, you never know what they might pull out of the hat.

Have to agree with you. Got the email and truly wondered what the benefit is. I book online, I never call them ....and rarely book their sales.
They aren't offering me yet another piece of plastic for my wallet....a blessing It's too full!
