I am traveling to these places in mid December so wanted to ask if you have any recommendation for Accor properties here? Few I have shortlisted are -

Budapest -
  • Mercure Budapest City Center Hotel
  • Pullman Budapest
  • Nemzeti Hotel Budapest - MGallery Collection
Prague -
  • Mama Shelter Praha
  • Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square
Vienna -
  • Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien
  • Novotel Wien City
  • Hotel Mercure Wien City

We stayed at Novotel Budapest Danube a couple of years ago and would happily recommend it. Great view out of the Danube and of the parliament. Trams make getting around pretty easy.

Ones we have stayed at

BUDAPEST
Mercure Budapest City Centre
Mercure Budapest Castle Hill
Sofitel Budapest
Sofitel was the clear winner but has been closed for renovations for a few years and will rebrand as a SO property.
The Mercure Budapest city centre was better than the Castle Hill one IMO

PRAGUE
Novotel Wenceslas Square
Century Old Town MGallery

Novotel was very good and great staff but after staying at the MGallery I probably won’t go elsewhere again (might try the Fairmont)
Probably the best treatment and upgrades I’ve ever had in Europe and in the best location IMO

VIENNA
Novotel Wien City
SO Vienna
Both are excellent and the SO probably shades the Novotel especially if you get a suite with a Danube or St Stephen’s view but it will be double the cost of the Novotel. They aren’t too far apart from each other but the Novotel backs on to this town square area full of good eateries

We stayed at the Nemzeti MGallery in Budapest in December 2022 and it was lovely. A beautiful old building, with real character. I would recommend it. The breakfast was generous. Our room was a bit odd in that it had a separate sitting area with the bathroom off that rather than off the bedroom, but as it was only the 2 of us, that was not any issue really.

There was a tram stop just outside, and a supermarket within 3 mins walk. A selection of nice restaurants in walking distance too.

We also stayed in the MGallery in Prague and it was similarly fantastic. I agree with @jase05, I wouldn’t even look elsewhere.
