Hotel Recommendations in Nashville and Dallas

Planning a trip to the US next year that includes visits to Nashville and Dallas among other places. I was wondering if anyone had any hotel or neighbourhood recommendations for either place? Budget isn't really an issue, more concerned with comfort and locations near restaurants etc.

Ralphie we stayed in an 2 brm Air BnB apt 2 blocks from main drag last Sept - was fabulous in terms of apt quality and location - my niece arranged it - I'll SMS her and get link for you and post it so you can take a look.

Was in a multi story apt building with security access and 24hr security staff - just perfect IMHO.

Back in 2009 we stayed at the Hutton Hotel which seems pretty good (although it was new back then). I would also recommend going to Prince's Hot Chicken Shack.

Ive just started looking at Nashville for next year, is Nashville always that expensive?

We're currently thinking we'll book the Hilton Downtown that's near Broadway/Hall of Fame.
