Free wifi and bigger bed for me!

Can't believe so many hotels (particularly down in AU/NZ) still charge for wifi!! Of course simply signing up to their loyalty programs usually gets around this....but in principal it's pretty bad.

I do wonder how these types of results would fair with customers who book direct with the hotel/chain.

Agree with this . A good shower is important and free wifi probably equal #1's for me. Like AviatonNZ, also cannot believe how many places still charge for wifi. In Europe and Asia, not so much a problem, but in the USA and here, it can be annoying.

Big rooms or big beds, not a problem really. But, it has to be clean from the bedding to the bathroom. If it's not, I'm outta there!

So, I'd probably take cleanliness over most everything else, tbh.

What silly questions (all two of them from what I could see)!

Free WiFi is pointless if it's so slow that you're better off hand delivering the emails;
Free breakfast is pointless if it's inedible;
A big bed is pointless if you get to share all that space with bed bugs and secretions from the previous occupant; and
A bigger bathroom is pointless if you have no pressure or hot water.

Hotel brand I would hope goes worldwide has:

- wifi (fast)
- breakfast (don't write home, but still makes me full and saves upto $30+ for "breakfast not included" )
- Unlimited minibar, refilled each day (free!)
- Self serve Laundry / dryer (100% free)

- For gym junkies, small gym room.

Don't care about Club rooms, as we wander outside the hotel into town(s), dinner away....
