Hotel Collection benefit

Does anyone know if Amex "Hotel Collection" bookings let you earn points and status, i.e. recognise hotel loyalty memberships in the same way that Amex FHR does?

nope, it considers as a booking from a travel agent/site. Only direct hotel booking earning points and nights

They sure do. Like booking direct.

Experience a few weeks ago at Hilton Sydney. Posted to my HHonors account and got executive room upgrade, free HH Gold breakfast and $155 AUD to spend.

right, right. I missed the Hotel Connection. Yep, my MEL DT was an annual travel credit redeemed rooms.
