oops, i'd better hurry up and use it.

With the low A$, it works out to A$70 off your booking, which is nice.

It is a great offer....I'm running out of email addresses to keep on booking it through!

I'm starting to wonder if there really is that much margin in one off accom bookings. When I look at the hotelclub site for bookings without the discount, the site seems expensive compared to wotif or qantas.com.

Then I see them advertising on TV media. Seems that they don't have a compelling competitive advantage.

If you received 2 x $50 vouchers from signing up twice, could you put that $100 credit towards 1 single virgin booking ?

I got an interesting email from DreamClub/HotelClub the other day. Anyone else get the offer?

Happy booking!
Clicked on the link and received US$30 in my HotelClub account. Will help to ease some of the stress caused by the sinking A$....

Have you actually had success with more than one email address? You use the same name and postal address and pay with the same credit card and they have accepted your booking? Have you actually had any of the hotel stays yet?

I will signup a friend but was also thinking of signing up with another email address for me but use my address in Brisbane. It will be a shame to stay in adjoining rooms and pay a different room rate.

This has been discussed in another thread. Don't think it would be a good idea to even attempt to redeem the $50 vouchers at the same hotel even on bookings of consecutive nights. You just don't want them to put 2 and 2 together....

Yes I have successful signed up with multiple email addresses however my name has been slightly alterered without lying eg. one a/c with first and surname only; another with first, middle and surname; another with first, initials, surname; then middle and surname name only.

And with addresses, I have entered different legitimate addresses for each account too ie. home, investment property, work, parents home.

I guess it was a bit of a nuisance to register using it this way but I guess free $200USD was worthwhile.

Yes, have had the 3 discounted nights albeit at different hotels on different trips. I used different emails, wife name and for good measure a different credit card.

If the USD stays where it is, then it would be worth it again, althought I am out of unique credit cards. I wonder if they do any data matching on that aspect anyway.

Slightly OT: Since using the website and having the stays I have gone back to hotelclub to book other hotels. In general I find the site expensive without the discount. By using the different accounts I'm also not accruing the 'Members dollars".

albatross710,

I think you'll find the Last Minute Deals section of their web site a lot better priced. Still not always the best but certainly much more competitive though.

I agree with Bill. I have used Last Minute Deals section successfully in the past and during the recent Singapore Grand Prix saved a decent amount of money on a one night transit.

In the process of researching I have found Hotel Club expensive on some hotels yet a bargain on others. It all depends on which hotel you want and the $30 Christmas gift was just great. I remember they had a similar gift if you booked around Fathers Day but I just missed out as I used their Last Minute Deals website.

Does anyone see an issue in the terms and conditions signing up my father and mother to Hotel Club and receiving the US$50 voucher? In a few weeks they will be kind enough to book a room in my name for the March trip and I will pay the balance.

IME you would need unique email address for each person. May be a problem with consecutive nights. Probably just handle that on a local basis at the hotel.

Have unique email addresses and will not be consecutive nights in fact it will be 1 night each in 2 different countries 2 weeks apart. Will use the same credit card though and I cannot see how this will be an issue.
