Hi all
I have about 12 hours in Hong Kong airport soon, and although I am Gold Qantas FF so have lounge access, I am curious to know if there is a transit hotel... a room for a few hours would be great.
Thanks
Matt

The Regal Airport Hotel is connected to the terminal. Or, with 12 hours, you could catch the airport train into either Kowloon or Central and visit the Peak, ride on a Star Ferry, or browse the shops.

There are plenty of things to do to make the most of your time:

If you do decide sleep is the priority, there is also a Mariott and Novotel close by:

The Regal does have some good last minute deals, a fully flexible or refundable reservation at the other hotels might be a good insurance policy if you wish to keep an eye on what might become available.

What time do you arrive and what time do you depart?

+1 for taking a train into Kowloon. From memory I did it with only a 8 hour stop over.

I am very much curious about the best place to visit if you are 27 and have 7-8 hours at most.

I had 12 hours in HKG last year and went to the lounge first for a shower then went into town for a few hours, had lunch went shopping and came back and relaxed in the CX Pier lounge. Easily doable.

that depends on the time of day (morning, afternoon, evening etc) and what you like to do (eat, shop, sights etc).
