A bit pricey but the beacon hotel in NY is great, has a kitchenette and large supermarket across the road. Great subway connections too. Join beacon insiders for better rates.
 
Beacon is nice, but this is a honeymoon! September is one of the most expensive times of the year in NYC, a lot happening, the UN General Asembly etc etc.

NY is one of my favourite cities. Last visit we stayed in Greenpoint, it is further out by subway but we loved the area around Williamsburg and Brooklyn. Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon
