Upon check-in the staff welcomed me warmly and thanked me for being their member (even though I'm at the lowest tier and this was my first stay in the brand). It was 11am (3 hours prior to where rooms are typically available) and my room was already available.
The room was on the 5th floor and it was close to the lift (although in my preferences I've stated to have a room away from the lifts but that doesn't matter). The room is nice and cool and a welcome message was displayed on the TV, which was already turned on before I came in.
The room has a nice little working desk with adequate power outlet and USB charging ports, both next to both sides of the bed and the work station.
A minibar was also filled with coffee sachets, sugar packets and tea bags. A fridge is located underneath it and it was stocked with milk (capsules).
On the bed, there are 2 choices of pillows: soft and firm. I personally prefer the soft ones. The bed was also comfortable and I could fall asleep very easily.
To my knowledge, there is no room service available but you can fill your containers with water at every time; as well as various beverages and food from breakfast when its being served. Breakfast is complementary for everyone and it starts from 6:30 - 9:30 daily. Breakfast food was basic, but adequate. You'll find scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, pastries, toast, bacon etc. as well as coffee and juice.
Toothbrush and toothpastes will be provided on request due to environmental concerns. Also, if you're staying 2 or more nights, you can opt to deny room service (you'll have to hang a specific sign at the door) and you'll be awarded up to 500 IHG reward points.
