Hi there,
I currently hold the Signature Visa, applied under a previous Bonus Points offer.
Now my annual fee is due soon and there currently is an offer for 50k Qantas points and reduced annual fee.
For various reasons I would like to hold on to the card, but not at $395.
Assuming I won't succeed negotiating the fee away, can I just apply for another Signature Visa and benefit from the extra points and reduced fee and then cancel my old card? Or should I cancel first and then re-apply? T&Cs don't say anything about existing or previous customers being ineligibly for the bonus points but any experience would be appreciated.
Thanks!
