Hobart lunch - 11th Oct 2025

It must be time for Hobart to host a gathering. Join RooFlyer, Dantas and other HBA members for lunch on 11th Oct. Venue TBA but will be in the city/Salamanca area.

Will be a 12pm meetup and goodness knows what happens thereafter. Come for some Tassie hospitality and check out the A220 if you haven’t already (QF only!).

For those looking for accommodation besides the usual chains of which there’s a pretty good spread these days, look at the Woolstore , Lenna and the Grand Chancellor, all or very close to the Hobart docks. Also, the RACV Hobart hotel which is in the CBD.

have a look at the Woolstore which is pretty comfortable and usually pretty well priced. A number of rooms self-contained.

There’s the Travelodge out by the airport, but beware, I don’t think they have a shuttle, or very limited, which is kind of weird.
EDIT I think the Skybus stops there to and from the airport. Yes, Hobart has Skybus.

For those that fly from interstate - any activities planned for the Sunday? suggestions?

We had only planned on hosting the lunch but could look at a Sunday add-on if there is interest. No visit to Hobart is complete without a ferry ride to Mona and a museum visit. Or alternatively the gin making experience at Lark is really good, but it's not until 3pm.

I've made a reservation for 11 Oct at 12.30pm at The Black Footed Pig - The Black Footed Pig | Tapas Bar & Kitchen | Hobart Waterfront Hopefully there are a few more platinums register so I can increase the booking!

It's a great tapas bar/restaurant in the iconic Macq01 building, 18 Hunter Street Hobart.
