Quick question for the CX Experts!

I'm a OWE (QF Plat) travelling CX J class into HKG with a 4 hour layover prior to transferring to a non One World carrier.

it would be great to use the CX First lounge - does anyone have experience getting in on arrival? Or any other ideas on how to make it work?

Im not keen on the arrivals lounge, I don't want to have to clear customs etc.

No access sadly - your onward flight would need to be oneworld.

You could use the CX arrival lounge though if you cleared immigration as a OWE arriving on CX (no guests though).

Anyone ever purchased and checked in a CX or Dragon Air tricket and no showed (travelled on another airline)?

I could purchase a ticket for under AuD$100 which isn't bad for 4 hours F lounge access.

I would not recommend this, especially for intl flights where they would be looking to escort you landslide.

Only 4 hours? The terminal is perfectly fine. Hkg isn't like Australia where there is nothing to do in terminal.

Other options are plaza premium lounges (free access with priority pass) or $50? USD for up to 3 hours.

Also, is your connecting flight on the same itinerary? Will you have checked bags? This can impact your ability to avoid entering hkg.

the F lounges are nice but not worth getting pulled up by immigration for appearing on multiple manifests.

I personally dont see a problem with that. There are 100 reasons why you would no-show for many flights.

So you would buy the KA flight and OLCI with a boarding pass and use that to get access to the lounge.
Risk i see though is from a KA/CX perspective. They will have a noshow on their ticket who went to the lounge - and they may wonder what happened to the pax (and perhaps investigate?). Dont think immigration knows / cares.

Depends on how risk averse you are :) And courtesy to other passengers

Another question for CX regulars.

I'll be travelling from LHR to BNE via HKG in CX J class. Booked using QFF points - do I qualify for lounge access at Heathrow & also Hong Kong while in transit?

Yes, by virtue of travelling class.
