Hello,
Does anyone have idea about possible long term car rental which I wanted an EV for after Easter until 30 June in Sydney Metro area?
I don't mind any brand, as long as it is an EV to ensure I get to work regardless of anything coming up in the next couple of months.
Do Avis, Hertz or Europcar do long term rentals like that?
Some advice would be appreciated.

Most of the hire companies will do mini leases for three months but the mainstream ones have been getting out of EVs, with Avis/Hertz only offering them at select locales. Sixt has the Atto’s at most branches but they have reduced their fleets by selling them to staff at cheap prices. Sixt were attractive and the Attos a good option when free charging was included but that is gone the way of the dodo.

East Coast is one I’ve been using for EVs recently, 15% off codes exist if you go hunting. Cupra/Polestar/Tesla.

Might run into challenges if it’s a local rental. Most are having challenges with car thefts at the moment from local hires and are hesitant, one outlet in Melbourne told me last week they have temporary paused local hires

I was returning a car in Sydney a few months ago, and while handing over the keys a gentlemen interrupted us handing over his keys for a car he stole in Melbourne. He apologised and said ‘no damage’ and went back to the kerb to jump into a SUV with a few other crooks awaiting him
