Good afternoon all :)

I am not going to be staying in Hilton property (based in MEL) between now and NYE. However, my points are going to be expirying and I don't want to redeem but I want to earn (almost 80k points are going to expire). Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to keep my account active for a little longer? Thanks :D !

This article gives you an idea of the many ways in which you can keep your Hilton points active:

11 Ways to Keep Your Hilton Points From Expiring

I Have found buying 1,000 points for $10USD quick and effective.

I bought 5,000 Hhonors points recently to keep account active.

amazon.com shop with points is only good for buying virtual goods, since amazon.com won't ship to Australia anymore.

Thanks all for that, good idea about the buying of more points.

I'm up against this expiration problem now. I've looked at buying points but right now I can only see the option of buying either 40k or 80k points. Is there a different link for the 1k increments?

Turns out there's a "glitch" on the Hilton website. After about 20 minutes and two agents, the web support team gifted me the lofty sum of 100 points to keep my account active for another year.

Due to a (company) travel ban late last year followed by COVID I have some Hilton points expiring in November. Is buying 1000 points still the best way to prevent them from expiring?
