Assuming the Scandic Hotels leave Hilton family, that is a big loss. Hilton has very few hotels in Scandanavia and the Scandics are generally good value for paid rooms (and sometimes for points too - alas most were severely devalued last June from the award bargains they used to be).

Assuming the Scandic Hotels leave Hilton family, that is a big loss. Hilton has very few hotels in Scandanavia and the Scandics are generally good value for paid rooms (and sometimes for points too - alas most were severely devalued last June from the award bargains they used to be).

They were great value for points when they first joined. I remember using them in Helsinki a few times on points at very low rates.
