I am currently HH Gold and looking at booking 3 rooms for the Hilton Gold Coast.

Questions are:

  • If the rooms are booked in my name does that mean each room (and therefore guests in those rooms) get access to the executive lounge?
  • Does each room get free breakfast or just myself and spouse stay free entitlement of free breakfast (if yes to question 1 then exec lounge could be used for breakfast)?
  • Is a room upgrade (from standard room) guaranteed and if so would that be for all 3 rooms?

No, no and no.

If you book a room, as a Gold you may get upgraded to an exec room. Only then are you able to access the lounge. If no upgrade, then no access. If the other two rooms get upgraded then they would have access.

You and whoever is staying in your room are able to get breakfast. Unless the other rooms get upgraded.

No upgrades are guaranteed, as they are 'availability dependent'. I would think that only your room is in the running.

No, no and no.

As a data point I had a friend in this exact situation, no one was upgraded included the gold member. I am not sure about breakfast but I would think if you have it as a benefit then 1 room would get that benefit.

JessicaTam has answered strictly correctly. There are plenty of reports of nice upgrades and plenty of reports of no upgrades. HSP is an odd bod hotel which is difficult to work out. Apparently, not even diamonds get the lounge access anymore, if they choose the residences but I can't comment on that. As a diamond, I've had up to six in the lounge and for breakfast, but that is far from guaranteed.

I'd like to give you more concrete advice on what you may receive, but I personally think it's all over the place.....you may be lucky or you may not. That's about as good as can be offered by way of advice......sorry about that!

As per JessicaTam and swanning_it you will only be eligible for one room on your booking to be upgraded
From the T&C's
"Upgrades will be given only for one room for the member, regardless of additional rooms the member may have purchased at or after the time of booking"
In addition you will only be able to have two rooms on the one folio of your Hilton Honors account. The third room will not accrue any points to your account.

Have you tried emailing the hotel to ask if they will provide breakfast and internet for a second room?

Thanks all...

Well I did email the hotel and as per swanning_it states it was all over the place and correct with their residence rooms (no lounge access) :(

Anyway it was worth a try :)

Yikes! I didn't know that - no lounge for residences guests. I won't be able to stay at this hotel in the future then ... previously stayed in the 'hotel' part of the tower(s) but the std hotel floors are too low to the ground ... I think they max at 15? Anyway, far far _far_ too noisy with at least 3 disco's at ground level close to the hotel running full bore until 3-4am in the morning every day.
