From the PP newsletter:

We’re a little over a month away from welcoming another Holiday Inn hotel to our network of hotels across New Zealand.
In March, we will open the doors of Holiday Inn Rotorua for the first time – giving you opportunity to use your Priority Privilege membership in this fascinating destination. Famous for its hot thermal springs, Rotorua is a popular leisure and conferencing destination – and later this year, will host a selection of matches in the Rugby World Cup.

Good to know, since the demise of the Sheraton I've stayed there in some very average places, clean but average.

New Holiday Inn - Rotorua

In the PP newsletter

From 1 March, IHG will assume management of Heritage Rotorua and rebrand the hotel as a Holiday Inn. For our Priority Privilege members, this means there is now another location in New Zealand to enjoy and redeem membership benefits from.
Overlooking the renowned Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve and Historical Living Village, the 203-room Holiday Inn Rotorua is also one of the city’s most extensive and versatile meeting and conferencing venues. The hotel offers eight individual spaces ranging from a boardroom seating 12 to the Pohutu Cultural Theatre that can cater for 500 theatre- and 750 coughtail-style, and a range of traditional and contemporary environments with the backdrop of Rotorua’s thermal springs.

Standout facilities include the thermally-heated outdoor swimming pool, spa pools and full fitness centre, 24-hour room service and complimentary car parking.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
