I am having problems getting AY legs credited to my account. We flew business into Lyon via HK & HEL.
After initial knock back I have supplied our itinerary & most boarding passes.
Why do they require 2 sources of evidence anyway?

Welcome aboard Broddo- lots of members join for similar reasons- hopefully you stick around and pick up some tips for future travel

Welcome to AFF. This happens to a number of people here. I'm afraid there's nothing to be done except not giving up and just supply the documentation and refuse to give up.

Plenty of good tips and sociability around this site, so take a look around and settle in :)

Persevere with it. I had the same problem with QFF on an AY ticket just last week. Did as they asked, points and status credits appeared days later. It seems this problem has more to do with AY than with QF.

Welcome to AFF.

Here's something I learned dealing with airlines: "you don't always get what you want or are entitled to".

When you send in your request through the manual claim form, it then gets forwarded onto AY (or any other airline) to confirm travel. If that other airlines then denies it, it would then be up to QF to manually process it with evidence needed. Then forward the costs on to the other airline.

A delay or an issue can also arise when tix were in some different class type, apart from C, J, D. Deep discounted or companion fares can have different class letters on them, thus adding to confusion.

I've had issues getting points/SCs credited from AY going back to 2011. I've advised both parties numerous times. Looks like to no avail.

Had problems crediting AY to QFF too. As well as inability to through check bags or get boarding passes on one flight sequence. However, points and status credits always posted after doco provided.

I now only send stuff to QFF by email, if theres already something incorrect on the account relating to the flights (e.g. J flights posted as Y, revenue flights psted as points redemptions) the online form just notes those postings.

Ticket shows the nature of the flight you booked and ticket number. Boarding passes show you actually flew, and didn’t cancel.

Cheers skip

Welcome to AFF, Broddo. Did you ever get your SCs and points credited by the QFF Service Centre?

Hi DC3, After 3 or 4 attempts and several months later ... Success.
But I already had another AY itinerary booked and on return only the outward legs were credited: HKG/HEL & HEL/GVA. Have been back almost 3 months and still waiting for the return legs
It has put me off flying Finnair to be honest.

When I had AA flights not crediting to QF after about 2-3 weeks, I sent a copy of (just) the boarding passes to [email protected] for resolution. This is usually the best way of dealing with it. You probably did that, anyway.

For anything still outstanding, best to follow it up sooner rather than later. From memory, QF has a timeline on following these things up (may be up to six months). If you have already sent QF the information, then keep onto them as sometimes these things fall through the cracks.

Thanks for the update.

Surprised no one has answered the 2 sources. A lot of people change their FF details along the way and indeed even at airport. It helps them verify it hasn’t been credited elsewhere. I have to change my FFnumber mid itinerary for example if flying on one PNR but not alliance partner airlines.
