Hi! Has anyone else had grief with Trip a Deal?

Booked a 2 for the price of 1 to China in October 2019. Unfortunately my husband is unable to fly due to a medical condition. Tried to replace him with my daughter only to be told no way. I should have read the t and c's more carefully as states no change to booking permitted. Only options cancel and claim through travel insurance or go by myself. Any suggestions?
