Hi Everyone, Just starting the retirement journey :)

Thanks for the welcome,
To answer a couple of the questions,

1. What loyalty programs are you a member of now?
KrisFlyer is the only one at the moment.
We had other loyalty programs in the past but weren't disciplined in making the most of them or spending the points when we had them.

2.Getting to/from EU by what airline/class of travel?
Singapore Airlines is high on our list, spending stop overs at Changi airport.
Business class, hoping to enjoy the journey and not feel like we need a couple of days to stretch and recover from the long flights.

Welcome back

Will be a hard slop to get any meaningful ff miles balance. Do not get much from 1 trip
Do any of your credit cards accumulate cc points that can be transferred to an airline frequent flyer program? Frequent flyer programs are morphing into frequent spender programs.

Are many ways to get points. including at times getting points twice from 1 transaction.
From shopping at Coles & Bunnngs etc (Flybuys loyaity ) can get Virgin Australian ff points. Those can be converted to SQ ff miles, albeit at a poor rate. However may be better to spend the $ vouchers from Flybuys on shopping.
Gift cards for everyday spend can be another source of points, But those with a fee to purchase can be poor value. But some can be purchased at a discount to face value, Depending on payment method and retailer get cc and/or retailer points for purchasing and then more points from retailer. when spent. Some here on AFF work hard at this method.

If an event in your area very welcome to attend. Would be a worthwhile learning experience.
