Hi all
I am currently considering funding my parent's trip to the Melbourne Flower Show incluidn gtheir accommodation using my HHonors points. Is there anything I need to do flag that i wont actually be staying there myself?
I am HHonors Diamond and am half tempted to give my dad my Hhonors card so he can use that when checking in and my mum could guarantee the sundry charges using her card.
I am not that bothered on that front though - what I dont want is for them to turn up and be told that they can not stay as the booking is in my name.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Simon

With HHonors, if you ring up they can issue the certificate in the name of the person who's staying there, and make the reservation in their name. NB, one caveat, is that once the certificate is issued, it's supposed to be non-cancellable. But, YMMV.

I don't think that they'll be able to use your status, unless you actually check in, and add them as extra guests.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If the booking is in the name of Mr and Mrs gr then it may make things a little nicer for them if your HHonors card happens to fall out of your Dad's wallet at check-in time ;).
