Do HH Reward Bookings earn base points for status qualification? And if so, at what rate? Or does it just count as eligible nights?

Sorry for hijacking this thread but here is a good place to ask I think since it's a recent thread ;-)

If someone was to "owe" HH points to someone else, what would be a fair value for such points be...? Fair for both parties, which I know is difficult, but what would be an acceptable compensation per point based on "easy earn" availability for the one that has "sold" the points...?

AU 0.5 cents/point is what I'd consider "fair" to both parties. It really depends on the property and the method of using points but a point redemption can be achieved commonly from between AU 0.3 to AU 0.8 cents/point. Hilton sell points @ US 1 cent/point and recently had a promo for 20% off so US 0.8 cents/point is possibly the highest you should feel obligated to pay right now.

That's my opinion......others may feel differently.

Agree with Swanning it.
0.5c is both the maximum I would pay and the minimum redemption value I would seek.
