Hoping someone might be able to help me.

Looking at doing the US over the Easter school holidays (we have two weeks).

LAX will only be an entry/exit point only as I've been there before and wasn't to excited about it again. We will do some internal flights to JFK/DC/LAS.

We don't have enough time to do a LONEx/DONEx but I would consider a LCIRx/DCIRx to come back via Tokyo/HKG/SIN for some status credits and to show MsChooms some of those city sights/Flounges whilst I still have WP status.

Our initial departure point would be BNE but want to go through SYD for some Flounging and catch a ride on the A380.

Does anyone have any recent experience booking LCIRx/DCIRx with QF? Can't seem to find a fare list anywhere so some indication would be good. I can't even price it up on the website - just tells me to ring the call centre.

Happy for all suggestions about this possible routing.

I can't help with first hand experience, but this thread popped up in "New Posts" and it may be useful... http://www.australianfrequentflyer....circle-pacific-fares-on-oneworld-44567-2.html

I've looked into this before but am no expert. The OneWorld tickets (DCIRx etc) are priced by port of origin and apparently quite cheap ex-HKG. The amount of "taxes" charged also varies depending on the ticketing airline, so most try to ticket through AA rather than, for example, QF, as AA charges lower fuel fines.

Recently booked a DCIR26 ex HKG. Much much cheaper this way, but may not be convenient for you. Priced and arranged through AA RTW desk over the phone, booked via AA HKG via email with a day or two. Simple.

From memory you're looking at around $7600inc tax from HKG or around 12k plus tax ex AU. Don't quote me on the second, the first is what was actually paid, or near enough.

Some base fares from Expertflyer (minus surcharges) below. All in AUD. HTH. :)

Ex-BNE
LCIR22 3699.00
LCIR26 4399.00
LCIR29SA 4899.00

DCIR22 9299.00
DCIR26 11099.00
DCIR29SA 12199.00

Ex-HKG
LCIR22 3282.00
LCIR26 4005.00
LCIR29SA 4268.00

DCIR22 5738.00
DCIR26 6998.00
DCIR29SA 7457.00

Thanks everyone for this... looks like we might go for a quick trip to HKG first. ;)

Have a look for my thread, i think I posted them email address of the AA Agents I used, rather than having to go through Frightcentre.

Call AA RTW desk with flights and times and numbers, get a PNR then email to AA HKG to ticket and pay.
