Hi everyone, long time reader, but first time poster.
Sat 10th Feb, I am booked with Qantas to fly out to uni:
Devonport - Melbourne (10:05am-11:20am) then
Melbourne - Canberra (11:50am - 1:10pm)
I know Qantas says you have to have 90mins between flights.
I've done this before without bags, just walked off the Devonport flight and waited for the Canb flight to board (I know i'm stuffed if the first flight is late)
Without thinking about it (i.e being an idiot), I booked the above flight, forgetting i have luggage this time.
With the flights being only 30 minutes apart, I’m thinking there is not enough time for Qantas to get my luggage from one plane to the other.
Is there any chance that when I check in at Devonport they'll place my bags straight to Canberra.
I'm presuming they'll check my bag to Melbourne, and say they can't get it onto the Canberra flight because there will not be enough time to do so.
What do you guys think i should do? Chance it, and hope they check it straight through, or ask them to send it on a later flight into Canberra. Or do you think i'll be forced to re-book the Canberra flight, and fly later.
Anyone got any knowledge/experience in this kinda situation?
Thanks.
