I booked my ticket for the Boeing Factory Tour last night and as I was at home and don't have a connection to a printer - worked out that I needed to save it. So I did, it came through as a .prn file (new file extension to me).

Now Googling how to open and print the file would be easy for you lot, but a significant challenge to me.

Tried to print to Adobe by right clicking on the file and selecting, but got this error message:

upload_2018-6-13_17-36-11.png

which means about as much to me as a visual prompt to a blind man.

Tried to find the correct file with which to open. I thought it would save to Adobe Acrobat. Perhaps not as it still won't let me open it...

The person who is able to help me will be offered a lucky dip from my vast collection of airline goodies...sent free of charge to you.

Be kind and gentle with the advice on any keystrokes - yes I am serious. I'm only marginally better than my parents with a computer - and they think I'm a saint when I fix (fluke) things for them.

To be honest, you're probably stuffed. How to Print from a PRN File
Unless you know exactly what make & model of printer your computer has configured as default to print to when there is a printer connected and you can find that exact model printer with the same version driver software installed to drive it, then that PRN file you have is likely going to be utterly useless to you, because it won't be compatible with anything else in all likelihood.

In the future when you need to capture something displayed that you can't print for whatever reason, then take a screenshot (ALT+Print Screen) and paste that to whatever image editor is installed on the computer (Microsoft Paint even if you have to) and save that as a standard JPG/BMP/PNG file which is standard and readable by almost anything on any computer and able to be distributed to others or subsequently printed out if necessary. It might not look perfectly pretty and well formatted and all the rest of it, but at least it's able to be viewed and is compatible with almost everything. On an iPhone it's the same thing as pressing the home+power button together.

In case you die it's a good idea to ask a friend to go through your computer and delete all the PRN files ;)

Yes, my default printer is in my office at work...

I’m pretty sure I’ve done that as well as I’ve been screenshotting everything for this trip and putting into a word file so my wife and kids can look through. Will have to go through and check.

Will look at your link when I’m at work tomorrow, thanks !

Looks like I found the saved PDF file from the email I was sent - multiple emails from Museum of Flight (Seattle) as well as Future of Flight (Boeing Tour @ Everett) had me a bit confused. Took the time to go through everything tonight and voila.

Nicely done @TheRealTMA. Suppose you’d rather a bottle of red ;)

Thank you to everyone who responded. Now I won’t look like a goose to Mrs QF WP. That’s important when she trusts and relies on me to book our holidays
