Hey all. Have been looking at the website for a while and thought I better join as you would be the team to answer my question. I was on a coporate scheme for QC and just resigned from the job. Last day being tommorow. But when I went to renew they said I no longer can do it as the scheme is not applicable to me anymore - work must of been quick to advise them. Been in QC for 10 years and don't want to pay full price or joining fee butw anted to renew before my official end date.

Any ideas on what to do?

Two questions.
1. How often will you fly QF in the next year?
2. Answering that, is it worth it per flight?

Just thought of another

3. Did you apply for a VA status match?

Welcome to AFF, musrag!

Another option is to pay for a gold membership for AFF, then use the corporate scheme from here to get the cheaper renewal rate.

Welcome musrag.

As suggested, the AFF gold membership provides lower-rate access to the Qantas Club.

Also, if you are a member of any professional organisations or associations, they may also have a membership scheme which you can latch onto at a reduced rate.

Maybe someone can enlighten me: I am a member of two professional organisations with QC discounts, but am resigning from the one I originally used for the discount. I tried to renew using the other organisation's code but it wouldn't let me do it! Has anyone done this, for example renewed (not joined for the first time) using AFF?

Hi rechoboam,

You can renew your Qantas Club membership through AFF even if your original membership was private or a Corporate Membership with another organisation.

Welcome to AFF musrag!

If would have thought if you were a Qantas Club member via a corporate scheme and then no longer involved with the corporate scheme you can still renew Qantas Club membership without corporate scheme but not have to pay joining fee as I assume joining fee to Qantas Club would have been paid under the corporate scheme.
