Book inter-island flights at time of booking using multi city option which is much cheaper than buying inter-island flights separately. We flew to Honolulu then Maui then Kona (Big Island) and back to Honolulu for $1188 return which was less than $200 more than the flight to Honolulu only, so 2 other islands (3 sectors) on Hawaiian Boeing 717's for under $200. Good value
