The last time I was there, in PER airport, (I wasn't a QP member at that time), :shock:I saw that the entry to the QP was up the escalators, in the dom terminal, inside of dom security.
I would be keen to know if after all the works done at PER airport, if the QP is still a good place to "waste" some time, and to use up the value of what I paid QFQP?
Would the run way still be in view?
In my mind's eye, it (the QP) would be high up, as in 3 to 4th storey, and that the runways would be visible.
Of course, I could just wait till my time comes, and feel the "new"/newly refurbished QP for myself, but thought I would pick our collective knowledge.
I would of course come back and "discuss" it after the trip.
Thanks all.

The QP in PER is still the QP - it does have good views of the runway, unless you have been sent to the Ground level overflow.

It isn't the best QP going around, and you do hear of the Fluro brigade, but pending on what time your flight is, it shouldn't be an issue (unless you are there early morning or red-eye).

It is up to you of what you make of it.

I cannot tell if the OP is being serious or just trolling...... My bet is on the later.

The PER QP is generally no different to any other QP in the QF network. Or to most lounges run by any other airline in the world.

There is no need to 'discuss' this particular QP unless you have something in 'particular' you wish to 'discuss'.

The purpose of AFF is to disperse information and for people to ask questions about things that they don't know about. Not everyone is fully up on all the pros and cons of all the lounges.

The question is perfectly in order unless the OP is infact trolling as you suggested. If they are not trolling then there is no issue.

I agree, but you know what 99.9% of 'discussions' concerning the PER QP are about.

Partly trolling I guess, maybe bragging too.
Look at me... my flight is the 2nd last afternoon flight.
Want to leave PER and arrive MEL dark.
Runway views would be a plus, ala BNE QPi.
Er, shall we say: case closed?

Travel can elicit a great deal of excitement. Nothing wrong with asking questions. You are not trolling in the sense of what is being suggested (picking a FIFO/Hi viz fight).

I can't wait for later on in the year.
Have been into a lot on the QPs.
Just a bucket list... visiting QPs around Australia.
We can discuss a certain group later.
