I am trying to finalise our trip next month and have narrowed our hotel choices down to these three possibles.

  • Hilton Angel Islington
  • Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam Centre East
  • Hilton Frankfurt

Has anyone stayed at any of these? What did you think?

I stayed at the Hilton Frankfurt, but verging on 5 years ago now. It was perfectly fine, the location was pretty good and at least at the time, the benefits for HHonors Gold were great (upgrade + free full breakfast for 2). It's been a long time since I looked at Hilton Hhonors so I expect things have changed since then.

I've stayed at Islington. It's one of my favourite hotels in London. The hotel itself was renovated in 2013-14. There are some dogs rooms and it's not luxury, but for the price I always found it reasonable (although it can bounce around a lot). The two things I like the most are: the Islington area and the fact the hotel is not on any main road. Avoid level 1. Level 4 is the best. Angel is the nearest station on the Northern line. Uber rides to central london are pretty cheap by london standards.
Frankfurt I've stayed at both Hilton Garden Inn and Hilton at Frankfurt airport. But I am guessing you mean in the city? I love the industrial look of the Hilton FRA. There is a good supermarket downstairs where you can pick up food and supplies.
