I bought a fairly pricey fridge this morning. Will be interesting to see if the points post. It's been fairly inconsistent in my experience.

I've purchased lots of stuff through the mall (mainly DJ's and eBay) and all the points have posted. Good way to get extra points for what I'm going to buy anyway.

I bought a new camera lens earlier this year, there were some troubles with points posting but they eventually relented calling them a "goodwill gesture". Other than the occasional hiccup, I'm very happy with earning points on what I would buy anyway.

Currently looking at upgrading my computer monitor (HD isn't doing it for me anymore, but WQHD sounds fabulous for viewing AFF!) and could earn 1140+ points for essentially, nothing.

I'm having pretty inconsistent results; probably around 60% of the time e-mails are being received and points posted.

I've purchased a few times through Ebay and DJ and the points have generally posted 30 days later

Just shooting the breeze with a manufacture spend question.
If I buy thru the Mall from a bricks & mortar retailer & return the goods in person at my local shop, I guess they'd have no way of knowing the purchase was done via the Q Mall and points would still stay intact?

Particularly if I flash a different credit card for the refund?

I have bought from Kogan and eBay. Points come in up to 30 days after purchase. So far so good.

make sure you use a qff credit card for more points :)

I purchased something from ebay a week ago and never got the email (usually it would come in 2-3 days max) anyone else had this issue, and if so did your points still post automatically?

Usually. The emails are inconsistent at best.

I also find the emails to be inconsistent. I did an apple purchase last week and didn't get any email, it was substantial so hoping the points are credited properly. I've used it for a fair bit of my online shopping and usually works well.

Yeah its strange I did a $200 Ebay purchase and directly after it made a BONDS online purchase, I only got the email a few days later for the BONDS purchase.

Very flaky service for me. Apple Watch band went through, the Apple Watch itself ordered at same time didn't. Sometimes I get confirmation emails after purchase, sometimes not. Constantly scanning the balance to be sure all purchases have been picked up, then having to ring Qantas, then email receipts to prove my purchase - is becoming a real pain!

Any chance you could PM your experience with the watch itself. After googling 'apple watch known issues', I've decided to hold off purchasing one. My primary use would be for fitness tracking so I'm currently considering another fitness monitor. Thanks in advance.

Since I had an item on ebay I was going to buy anyway, I went through the QF mall to get the points.

Turns out that somehow I'm eligible for ebay $$ discounts of a couple percent... ??? However, the $$ discount did show when processed via the QF mall. Anyone else notice that the use of the mall (and getting QFF points) might be costing $$?

Perhaps away from the mall to find happy wandering

Fred

I would advise anyone buying from David Jones, during the Qantas Mall / David Jones double points promotion, to check up on prices prior to the beginning of the promo.
I was going to buy a TV today, which was $2974 yesterday, but, when I went to the site today, it had been inflated to $3499, coincidently on the first day of the promo.
10 points per $ was the motivation for me, even though, like the epicure wine offers, the products can usually be bought for less elsewhere, but a $500 increase????? No way.
Other TVs had risen similar amounts.
No thanks DJ.
