Has anyone bought anything on Qantas Mall?

I would advise anyone buying from David Jones, during the Qantas Mall / David Jones double points promotion, to check up on prices prior to the beginning of the promo.
I was going to buy a TV today, which was $2974 yesterday, but, when I went to the site today, it had been inflated to $3499, coincidently on the first day of the promo.
10 points per $ was the motivation for me, even though, like the epicure wine offers, the products can usually be bought for less elsewhere, but a $500 increase????? No way.
Other TVs had risen similar amounts.
No thanks DJ.

Not half wrong I want to buy a Panasonic 65" TV, DJ's want $3314 and Appliances Online both in Q store want just $2767 for exactly the same set, no wonder DJ's can offer 10 FF points per dollar spent, what a joke.

From Appliances online would be $10K+ in items TV, Fridge, Cooktop & Aircons for our new Gold Coast abode, so 4 points per $1 spent. On contacting them they supply a discount voucher of $400 off very competitive prices, then add CC points, so all up about 50K QFF points, sounds good to me.

I finally remembered to click through Qantas Mall for my last Ebay purchase and the points came through fine. I'll try to remember in future since they are essentially free points but what with remembering to click through from my company cash back scheme for various retailers, using 5% discounted gift cards and all the other tricks we all love..... jeez it gives me a headache sometimes ;).

Has anyone had experience buying David Jones e-gift cards with their Qantas Cash card (5 bonus points per dollar + 0.5 points per dollar spent), and then using said e-gift cards via the Qantas Mall to give a total 15.5ppd during this promotional period?

I was onto the same deal however it was showing yesterday as unavailable thru Qantas Mall Albury at a higher price. I went into the store to DJ's physical shop and there it is the same TV but 2974 LG OLED last years Model.

Buying all the goods via Qantas Mall from Appliances Online had another benefit, can choose day of delivery, they provided a 2 hour window and driver called us when ready to deliver, also they even went through another property (with owners permission) to get this huge fridge via a sliding door into our Villa, fantastic service must say :).

I have no association with Appliances Online.

OT: I've used Appliances Online a few times (before Qantas Mall existed) and can vouch for their service. Being able to nominate the 2 hour window is fantastic and the delivery crews are really good at calling when they are about 20-30 minutes away which is really helpful.

I bought a few things from David Jones. It was delivered in no time, and I got an email from QF confirming the purchase and points. Very happy with my first visit. It was the 10p/$ that got me in.

My mum is looking for a new fridge. Perhaps I'll get her to include appliances online in her searches....

With you guys mentioning comparing prices, can we do the following:

1) even if DJs is more expensive, buy online through Qantas Mall first.
2) immediately call DJ online customer service and quote order reference number
3) ask for price match and refund difference back to CC or gift card

Has anyone done so?

IMO I'd call DJ's first for price match and get a voucher No. to insert at checkout.

RE Qantas Mall & David Jones, has anyone else only received 5ppd from the recent promotion (10ppd)?This is my first purchase via the mall, so am unsure if points come through all at once, or base points followed by bonus points. Can anyone advise?

on all my purchases the base points (5ppd) came through first, followed by another batch a few weeks/months later. No specific pattern how long. Meanwhile, I can track my taxi in real-time... :D

Checked my QFF account and received a batch of bonus points for eBay purchases.

I haven't done the math but I'm assuming that they have done the right thing by me.

Purchased a large ice maker fridge and 65" TV via Appliances Online in the Q Mall, called them 1st to get a discount/voucher then inserted the No. in at checkout, all went well was advised 2 hour delivery window 2 days later. The QF points (19,000) arrived a few weeks later after my follow up.

I've personally used David Jones, Ebay, Surfstitch, itunes Store and Macy's and every single one has posted. Never had an issue what so ever. I think it just comes down to your cookies and if not done properly then it won't register. It's based on the same premise as Cash Rewards.

I've only used Ebay, but the points have always come through without intervention.

In fact, the Qantas Mall tracking appears to be more reliable than my company cash back scheme that is run by Reward Gateway.
