Has anyone been upgraded from business to first on a points booking?

Family flying business on QF using QFF points for total ticket and paying economy ticket tax! No status......
Being retired.....
Any possible chance of complimentary upgrade to first if flight fills?

I have had one upgrade as WP in 20 years with Qantas.

I'd say the chances of that are lottery winning odds.

I got one LHR to SYD. Was already in my J seat and they came and told me they had a 'better' seat for me (I was exit row upstairs so was bewildered) so lottery wins do happen. Good luck.

Using points I have been lucky! And maybe twice its happened without points thanks QF
