we have a reward booking with qantas from London to Melbourne flying JAL and as discussed in another thread we have to get from Haneda to Narita in a short time as that is our 2nd flight all on one booking
. if we can't make it is it qantas or JAL responsibility to get another flight

I’d like to hear the answer as well … if all on the one booking, it would sorta make sense that if the arriving flight was delayed it’d be on them, but if everything’s running on time it’d be on you. Common sense doesn’t always come into play though, it seems risky for THEM if the first flight arrives 10 minutes late but then there’s a traffic-jam which is the real thing that stops you from making it …

If the first flight is late arriving it is the responsibility of the first airline to resolve.

If the first flight arrives on time and you miss the second far more problematic. Airlines have connections times that are supposed to be achievable. Then the second airline may help. Or your credit card does the heavy lifting in the worst case. With 1 flight per day situation can be few options.

I don't know whose responsibility it would be, but I would be researching what flights would be available so I could make proactive suggestions if necessary. I'd also be researching hotels just in case.

The minimum connection time for transfers between Haneda and Narita airports is 3 hours.

It should be impossible to make a booking with a connection time of less than that.

And after seeing your other thread you have four hours.

There some good experienced answers in that thread

@missingscrew

I a little confused

London to Melbourne flying JAL

We have a flight landing in Haneda and need to get to Narita, the issue is the flight lands at 06:50 and the next flight leaves at 10:50

You are flying JL from LHR-HND and JL NRT-MEL?
This is where I am confused...
The JL42 is a 0900am arrival in winter and at the end of March arrives at 0535am.
I am not aware of any JL flight from LHR that arrives at 0650am.

Additionally there there is only one JL flight NRT-MEL but that departs in the evening at 1800hrs

How many digits are in your JL flight. JLxx_x or JLxx_ ?

Can you please confirm thanks
