Hawaiian Airlines Expands Australia / New Zealand Operation in Sep/Oct 2013 | Airline Route – Worldwide Airline Route Updates

Hawaiian Airlines during the month of September and October 2013 is increasing operations to Australia and New Zealand, with the addition of 6 weekly flights to the region. Planned service and operational schedule (for the month of September 2013 only) as follow. Honolulu – Auckland 19SEP13 – 11OCT13 Service increases from 3 to 4 weekly

I guess it comes down to slots and aircraft availability, but you'd think they'd space out the SYD flights a bit more.

Aussies tourists heading over in droves so extra capacity during school holidays.
 
I'm happy but their crews flying to BNE won't be. When I was flying home after the inaugural BNE-HNL flight the crew told me they would get to BNE Sunday afternoon and have time off till Wednesday afternoon. If they worked the SYD flight they only had 24 hours in town.

I'm guessing Hawaiian will be hiring a few new staff members.
