G'day,

I have one final green leaf to attain to get the full green. I have to make a choice between these two choices:
  1. Travelling or
  2. Lifestyle
I looked at the travelling choices and man, they are expensive for what they are offering imho. Then I looked at the Lifestyle option and was in the process of ruling out sub-choices there also then I thought hard on RecycleSmart... :)

I think this might be quite easy to get completed and my understanding is that you have to do 3 pickups and each pickup has 2 bags. I am not really sure how big these bags are but the picture makes it out to be large.

Has anyone chose one or the other from these options and any ideas for RecycleSmart? As always more interested in people's experience and what they have done with these two options.

Thank you.

I have used RecycleSmart to attain GT leaf.
Bags are about the 1.5x size of a supermarket reusable green bag. You can use your own bags, they didn’t raise any issues. Its very indicative sizing.

A word of warning, their reliability is a lot to be desired - they often tend to reschedule the scheduled pick up, happened 2/3 times for me, so I would allow sufficient time before your anniversary date.

Allow at least 6 weeks after the last pick up. I found the whole process a bit clunky. Also, not sure why we should be paying for something that should be provided as a free utility by the government but that’s a topic for another conversation.

I am about to move house so got Red Energy Green Tick. Likely rotate off this in 6 months to get more frequent flyer points on another program and switch back on once my year rolls over in May

I think thats because the government isn't doing a very good job but again that's a discussion for another day.
