Having had my wedding on the weekend, family from Adelaide were flying home Monday night. In the departure lounge my three-year old cousin was given a chocolate covered peanut by an unsuspecting older couple. Luckily his Mum saw it happen and they got it out of his mouth before swallowing but he broke out in a rash around the mouth. His uncle and Aunty are paramedics and were flying with him and said he couldn't fly for a couple of hours just in case. Qantas provided cabcharges to Darlinghurst Medical Centre and back, a room at the Ibis at the Airport, meal vouchers and a 7am flight on Tuesday morning for all 4 family members. All on a sale fare. Amazing work.

The stupidity of some people given the prevalence of allergies

Glad QF turned the situation around.

And who even thinks to give a small child a peanut, they have been a known choking hazard forever.

Glad it worked out okay. Did the older couple realise what they'd done after the commotion?
