To be fair, news bulletins are one of the few programs still live captioned. I doubt many, if any, people could touch type for 30 minutes (which is basically what they’re doing) error free.

My latest annoyance: on-board messages on tram 109 in Melbourne. (Outbound, the tram stops at Casino then turns right and stops at Clarendon Junction)
"Stopping at Casino, stop 124A
At THIS stop the doors will open on the left.
Change HERE for route 12 trams.
After the NEXT stop the tram will turn right."
No, the message should say "After THIS stop the tram will turn right."

And this after it took PTV almost two years (and probably repeated badgering by me by email) to correct the myki top up message which said "
This is a courtesy email to let you know that a myki registered to your account reached it’s auto top up threshold of $10.0...."

Though I generally prefer to use lend as the verb and loan as the noun. I appreciate that there is an old usage of loan as verb.

But this online today from the ABC of all people makes no sense at all.

Not only in the minor headline but it’s in the text as well.

It's simply out of date. There was a stop at the corner of Whiteman St / Clarendon St (124B), which appears to have now been removed.
