Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

And all *J!

I think J passengers get a free half hour massage in the Thai lounge so do that first, then a drink in the BR lounge which I've also heard good things about.

I booked an award ticket to BKK-MEL on the new A350 to avoid the old 747 to Sydney, then fly Virgin the rest of the way.

Interesting to see this pop up -

Applied last year before a trip to South Africa where we had a couple of internal flights book through to SAA and was concerned there maybe issue with recognition of Velocity on internal domestic flights. *A Gold was handing on the CPT JNB sector as it was SAA metal, however annoyingly (but understandable) with SAA, you can't use *A Gold when booking direct with SAA but flights operated by SA Airlink.

Perhaps the worst bit of the lot - only reason I ended up using *A status was because they would not recognise my VA status and the extra baggage limit it came with. And to add insult to injury - missed out on 60 status points as a result.

Perhaps the best bit of the lot, whilst I've not looked lately in the App or online, but in my Apple Wallet it still shows the *A Gold status.

United's *A status match is a great way to get your foot in the door to start enjoying the status benefits, then try to credit your miles to a lower threshold carrier for maintaining *A Gold such as Asiana or Turkish airlines

As someone who doesn't have any status with other *A carriers, what do you suggest I do? I just got QF SG matched with United. Only really travel to US for work (hence either QF or UA).

Personal travel involves small Asia trips, and I have been saving for RTW J Reward with SQ. If I credit these United flight miles with them will that work in my favour for reward availability in the future?

Tempted to give this a crack - I'm in central america / USA in July, so could do the challenge then.

Only other consideration would be for TK - I've got J flights MNL-IST-ORD return coming up. But I understand they only match platinum (I'm QF gold). Guess I'll credit those flights to SQ so at least they are useful miles.
