Been to Flying Fish Cafe, Port Elliott. Decent Fish n Chips with the xtras on the beach
About $10-$25 per person depending on the addition of beer/wine/dessert.
Semi-outdoor setting.
There is also the fine dining option further in the "shack", where prices are about $50-75 per person after adding 3 courses, wine etc

As an old Adelaide boy... + 1 for the Flying Fish. Horseshoe Bay is beautiful!

Hope you had a good day, yesterday. Pretty average weather I suppose.

Thanks for the tips.

Weather was poor - took the shorter journey to McLarenvale and had a very good lunch at "The Barn" :D

Also +1 for the Flying Fish, pity you couldn't make it. If you plan on stopping in McLaren Vale another time, Vasarelli wines have a good restaurant attached to their cellar door and the staff a very enthusiastic; nearby at Sellicks Beach the Victory Hotel offers superb views, good food and the chance to select a bottle from an amazing cellar. Have a great day next time, here's hoping for better weather!
