This email is to notify you of changes affecting your Global Wallet®.
From 23 January 2015, an additional fund load option, 'Bank Transfer', will be available. You can load Funds Credits via a Bank Transfer from your personal bank account. Funds can be transferred by logging into your online bank account or via telephone banking, selecting the 'Pay Anyone' option and entering your unique bank transfer details available in your Global Wallet Account Centre .

Funds Credits loaded by Bank Transfer will become part of your Available Balance up to 1 working day from the time the Funds Credit was initiated.

I'd say it's more to do with your bank. QF does say to do the transfer by 1400 for the funds to ahow up next day so when you say "mid-afternoon" was it after 1400?

I did a bank transfer from ANZ to QF after 1800 AEDST but my funds still appeared next morning.

A big huge + now that funds appear 24/36 hours and available for use rather than 3.5 days.
Also, while I have not tried it, if we give our payers/employers the BSB and bank account, if you have more than one payer, maybe this could work out to have wages/salaries paid into the VA VGW, haven't tried it.
Of course, taking funds out of an ATM with the VGW will see fees involved, but then nowadays nearly everyone accepts card (paypass/paywave), or savings with PIN.
Now that they are both so alike, whats the plus point one over the other-QCC/VGW?
For me, if one of them brought out a 1point:$1 earn rate for spendings in Aust, thats the one that will have my "business".
