Has anyone experienced delays for international ticketing this weekend? I'm still waiting for a ticket I booked on Friday afternoon. Web chat assures me all is OK but still haven't seen it. I expected a slight delay due to DSC but this seems a bit much.
I made a change to an international booking yesterday morning and still waiting for the reissue. But then booked a new one last night and it came through within 2 minutes.

Once the voucher is in your QFF account click on it and follow the bouncing ball, I did not get a screenshot

put in new search parameters, my screen shot was to early, View attachment 206330
I ended up selecting 9 Mar 20.

Follow the bouncing ball until the final payment screen is reached and look at the detail

I see you can "re-use" the voucher for a return trip..... despite booking an initial one way flex economy
Can this be used for a return international trip? or a return international business saver fare?

The voucher can be used for any flight, domestic, international, economy, business. The voucher is just like a credit note with a PNR attached.

I’m thinking of turning an expiring $450 AMEX travel credit into a flex DSC PNR by booking a flex fare on the AMEX website. This would essentially sort out the expiry of the travel credit and allow flexibility of future travel plans with DSC attached. The eventual flight needs to be above $450 of course. Can I check if anyone sees a flaw in this plan?

Does resulting credit voucher have restrictions like no multi-city, flights originating AUS etc like purchasing a voucher outright?

That's fine but Amex will charge $33 per person per change
I was thinking that the Cancelled flex voucher would then sit in my Qantas profile which I can change without involving AMEX. Therefore no change fee involved.

You'll still need to involve Amex. Even if it is a flex fare, MMB and the call centre will direct you to contact your agent (Amex) for any changes.

No, cancelling a flex booking made through Amex will just result in the amount you have paid being refunded to your card, minus $55 amex cancellation charge. You will forfeit the $450 travel credit as its non refundable.

You're better off making a flex booking for the route you want to fly in the future, then changing the dates (once known) for $33 per pax

Thanks, Is that change and $33 payable by phoning AMEX? Does it make a difference if the CC has been cancelled in the meantime?

How do you book a multi-city in J? It doesn't seem to offer a seat class option anywhere?

Yes, payable to Amex. Easiest done over the phone - everyone I've spoken to at Amex travel has generally been more competent than most QF reps. I'm not sure how it would work if your card has been cancelled, but I'm sure there would be an alternative.

What's the difference between this approach and a GV apart from need to redeem on higher cost fare . Oh and and GV is set fare basis?

If you run into any issues with a GV where does that leave you. The approach I take is if I do run into any issues the agent can see the original booking was a flight not a GV.

I am not suggesting others follow suit it works for me and I am comfortable with what I am doing.

OK found the option - but then the webpage returns -

For the last 2 days i’ve been trying to book a multi city with a domestic leg and an international one, and just get error messages. This is regardless of the international destination entered. Still works fine for the domestic multi city. I just gave up and booked each leg separately. Not sure if system is overloaded or qantas has worked out what we are all up to during the DSC promotion?

Agree its very frustrating. I'm trying to book a NZ multi-city and its really struggling

Thats my usual DSC trick CBR-MEL-SYD-Somewhere in NZ. This time I got CBR-BNE-NRT return in J for a bit over $3k and 320 SC's so 640 SC's all up.
Crazy thing is via SYD or MEL, I'd have to pay more money and get less SC's! I did play around with multi-city though and it bumped the prices up a bit.

I'm trying to get a AKL-PER stretched out and ending in SYD but is not cooperating. Incidentally, AKL-PER return is only around 1600 and also 320 SCs.
