I am trying to remember but is this different from previous years?

Are Qantas Flight vouchers eligible for this offer?
Flight Vouchers purchased and redeemed for an eligible flight booking made during the promotion will earn double Status Credits. Flight Vouchers purchased but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking (for flights that are not booked or travelled within the booking or travel period dates), will not earn double Status Credits.

Looks to be the same language as the last two offers.

I registered on their website this morning with my QFF details - it said "you're in" (well words to that effect) but the email confirmation hasn't come through yet - this happened to anyone else?

Registered a couple of hours ago - still no confirmation email from QF .... not even in my junk folders!! Previous offers the email has been pretty quick - maybe another enhancement ....

Regards,

BD

Good to know that the gift voucher language appears to be as before. This should mean - if Qantas applies the same logic as before - that if I buy a gift voucher - and therefore generate a PNR - before 25 February, and redeem it in - say - April, for travel in - say - December, then the DSC should still be gained. Correct?

My related question is how does registering for this DSC (and using it to buy gift vouchers) interact with the Qantas Business Rewards (QBR) program? I registered my company for QBR a couple of months ago and now have the option of booking a flight either as a personal flight or a company flight. Can I make a booking as a company flight, redeem a gift voucher to partially pay for it, and still get the DSCs against my personal FF account?

(Actually, can gift vouchers be used to book QBR flights at all? I've never tried, only having just joined the QBR program.)

There is a small comfort in not being the only one. Will wait and see what tomorrow brings....

I think I'm going to book SYD-SCL in J and enjoy the last chance to fly LATAM and earn SCs (QF metal to LA then a South American trip). Might book SYD-SCL-RIO which is about the same price.

4K for ~800 SCs is not bad.

You wont get double SC;s on LATAM.

Great - they offer a DSC and I can't think of anywhere that QF metal goes that I have any reason to go to...

As I read this, the double status credits count to attain Platinum one, but not for the bonus things... Yes?

What do Status Credits count towards?
Status Credits count towards retaining your current membership tier or reaching the next membership tier. To attain or retain your status the required number of Status Credits must be earned and in your Frequent Flyer account by the end of your current membership year. However, bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/ Challenge earn requirements.

What do bonus Status Credits count towards?
Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer also count towards retaining or attaining your membership tier however bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/Challenge earn requirements.

BTW my registration confirmation took about 8 minutes to come in.

Does anyone know what is the cheapest flexible Y fare that QF has on offer at the moment. e.g. ADL-KGC is just under $300. Looking to book the cheapest option that can be changed at a later date to a different route without the change fee. I do care about from-to any location will do. Any red deals are out of the equation.

I know that, hence why I specified Qantas metal to SCL. You still get single SCs on LATAM until 01 October.

I believe that SeatBackForward was probably trying to be helpful as your post # 90 was possibly somewhat ambiguous, regarding DSC strategy. 🤔

After having experimented some, it looks like you cannot redeem gift vouchers for QBR flights. Further, the QBR member discount (even at level 1) offers up cheaper fares than are available via the gift voucher redemption search, at least for the flights I was looking at (JFK, LHR). While you don't pay credit card fees on gift voucher bookings, the QBR "member" fare works out a bit cheaper than the gift voucher fare even with the credit card fee included.

So it appears you save money booking via Qantas Business Rewards, at least for the international flights I was looking at. But the question remains: Do you get personal DSCs if you book Qantas Business Rewards fares? Does anyone know?

Correct. The offers aren’t as generous as they used to be. The offers used to count to some of the bonuses.

They still want those who would get WP with standard credits to aim higher and go for P1 which they can do using this offer.
