If you haven't been told today, "Consider yousrelf Told".
As there is a lot of mentions about transferring points to family members and purchasing things from the Qantas shop, so if you would show me the part where it says American Express points are activity then I would be grateful, otherwise consider yourself told.

"Your Qantas Points will not expire as long as you earn or use Qantas Points (excluding family transfers or the conversion of points from Qantas Business Rewards) through your Frequent Flyer account at least once every 18 months. This includes earning or using Qantas Points with our program partners."

Amex is a program partner.

Thank you sincerely Briar, a very good answer to what was a very simple question, without the attitude.

Cheers

on qantas site, it says if giver transfers points, it's the givers expiry that counts not the receivers, but don't know the receivers(elderly & too hard to get them to find out)
I've transferred points from mums, dads and brothers accounts after Woolworths Rewards was rebranded and they've not had QFF activity since and those points did not expire.

You'll be fine as long as you have some activity every 18 months.

Make sure that the "giver" is legally able to transfer points to you. Hate to see the "giver" audited and you get caught up in the process

Ozzfflyer was the OP who asked multiple times. Onemore seems to have asked one question only.....

what do you mean ?

by the terms of Qantas Frequent Flyer only transfers are allowed between Eligible Family Members, as defined by QF.

In general this prevents sales of points between members and QF has been known to audit transactions and take action.

Amex itself no.
But once those Amex points become Q(F)points they are considered as activity.
Credit cards points are transferable to QPoints at end of each month, as are my QTMC spends which become Qpoints, ie activity.
